Schweizer: Delivering Today, Building for Tomorrow
NEWS RELEASE, FORT WORTH, TX - 04/21/2026 — Schweizer enters 2026 stabilized and focused, delivering for operators while advancing the next generation of capability.
Schweizer is a rotorcraft manufacturer and support organization specializing in the 269 (300CBi, 300C & 333™) series helicopters. As the holder of FAA type and production certifications and a FAA Part 145 repair station certificate, the company provides new aircraft production, parts manufacturing and distribution, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), aircraft refurbishment, training, and global customer support.
Schweizer’s capabilities extend across the full lifecycle of the aircraft—from factory production to long-term fleet sustainment—supported by a global service network and deep technical expertise.
Built on a legacy shaped by Hughes, Schweizer, and Sikorsky beginning in 1956, the 269 series has trained tens of thousands of pilots worldwide and remains one of the most recognized light helicopter platforms in operation. Building on that foundation, Schweizer has adopted a more disciplined, customer-focused operating model designed to deliver reliability, availability, and long-term value.
Who We Serve—and How
Schweizer supports a global base of commercial operators and government entities across training, utility, and specialized missions. From flight schools to commercial operators, customers rely on the platform for its safety, simplicity, and cost-effective performance.
The company’s approach is straightforward: keep aircraft flying safely and reliably, reduce downtime, and expand capabilities that meet evolving customer needs.
How We Support Our Customers
Schweizer designs, manufactures, and supports a family of light utility helicopters while providing full lifecycle support for its global fleet.
For operators, this translates into direct, day-to-day support across the fleet—from new aircraft delivery and refurbishment programs to responsive aftermarket services, including parts availability, MRO, and training.
With an installed base of approximately 3,000 aircraft operating worldwide and a network of 19 factory-authorized service centers across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania—including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Senegal, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, China, and Australia—Schweizer ensures operators have reliable access to the components, expertise, and service required to keep aircraft mission-ready.
Schweizer operates across several integrated business lines that work together to support the full lifecycle of the aircraft:
• Parts Manufacturing & Distribution — Supporting a large global installed base with proprietary, life-limited, and maintenance components essential to continued airworthiness and mission readiness.
• Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Through its FAA Part 145 Repair Station, Schweizer provides inspections, overhauls, upgrades, gearbox services, and continued airworthiness support for operators worldwide.
• Aircraft Refurbishment — Returning aircraft to service with upgraded systems, extending lifecycle value and providing a cost-effective alternative to new aircraft.
• Service Center Network — A global network of 19 factory-authorized sales and service centers providing regional support, maintenance, and parts distribution.
• Aircraft Production — Manufacturing new aircraft while completing in-process builds and preparing for increased production capacity.
• Training & Support — Offering pilot and maintenance training programs, along with technical support backed by decades of platform experience.
Schweizer also maintains critical certifications and approvals that support its operations and customer base, including FAA Type and Production Certificates, FAA Part 145 Repair Station certification, EASA approval, and AS9100/ISO quality standards—ensuring consistent quality, compliance, and reliability across all products and services.
Together, these capabilities ensure customers have consistent access to the parts, services, training, and aircraft they depend on.
Operational Progress
Over the past 12 months, Schweizer has executed a focused operational restructuring that has been central to the company’s turnaround in 2025.
During this period, headcount was reduced by 43%. Leadership roles and responsibilities were realigned to ensure that key positions are held by individuals demonstrating strong performance, work ethic, and a deep commitment to the Schweizer legacy. This has resulted in a more focused, accountable, and executive-driven organization.
Equally important has been the strengthening of Schweizer’s workforce. The company’s management team brings together over 100 years of combined experience, including multi-generational aviators, technicians, and engineers with deep familiarity and commitment to the platform. This institutional knowledge continues to play a critical role in maintaining product quality, operational continuity, and customer support.
Schweizer has also prioritized reinvestment into its people—enhancing training programs, expanding internal capabilities, and promoting from within to ensure long-term continuity of knowledge and leadership across the organization.
In parallel, the company has optimized operations and strengthened execution. Lean manufacturing initiatives have improved throughput and reduced inefficiencies. Procurement and inventory practices are now better aligned with demand, improving working capital efficiency. Vendor relationships have been stabilized, restoring reliability across the supply chain.
These improvements are reflected in better parts availability, more predictable delivery timelines, and stronger overall customer support.
In addition, within the past 12 months, Schweizer received FAA approval for a crash-resistant fuel system Supplemental Type Certificate (STC), enhancing platform safety and enabling renewed U.S. sales, and supporting multiple new deliveries in 2025.
These combined efforts have resulted in a positive cash flow, demonstrating that the company’s operating model is both effective and sustainable.
“Schweizer’s employees have shown tremendous focus, discipline, and commitment throughout the restructuring. Their efforts have been instrumental in stabilizing the business and creating a sustainable foundation for future growth,” – Paula Ann Miller, Corporate Receiver and Managing Director of Schweizer RSG, LLC.
Growth Priorities
Schweizer’s strategy is focused on strengthening what customers rely on today while investing in the future of the platform.
Key priorities include:
• Product Evolution — Advancing new powerplant options, avionics upgrades, and airframe improvements to enhance performance, efficiency, and reliability.
• S333 Reintroduction — Restarting production of the turbine-powered S333 to meet demand for capable training and utility aircraft.
